Sustainability at Esari

Built to protect.
Built to last.

We design and manufacture equipment shelters for demanding Nordic environments. Our structures protect critical infrastructure in harsh conditions — telecommunications, energy systems, control equipment, and technical installations.

For us, sustainability begins with durability. A shelter that performs reliably for decades reduces material consumption, maintenance, service interventions, and replacement needs. Long service life is one of the most effective ways to lower environmental impact. Components are selected with reliability and replacement accessibility in mind. A durable shelter reduces replacement needs, waste and supports the stability of critical infrastructure.

We focus on practical responsibility, measurable improvement, and long-term thinking.

Materials & Manufacturing

Our shelters are built primarily from wood and steel chosen for strength, fire safety, and longevity. Modular designs optimize transportation, installation and safety to customers’ operational site. Modularity reduces the material consumption and waste during production.

Wooden shelters are low in their carbon footprint whereas steel is highly recyclable and can be reprocessed without losing its core properties. We aim to optimize material selection for the purpose. Precise engineering and efficient fabrication processes ensures minimal use of materials and energy use for production.

Production is managed with attention to:

  • Responsible sourcing of raw materials
  • Efficient use of energy and resources
  • Minimisation of production waste
  • Compliance with Finnish and EU regulations

Where applicable, we work with suppliers aligned with recognised standards such as ISO quality and environmental management frameworks.

Energy Efficiency in Operation

Equipment shelters influence operational energy consumption through insulation, ventilation, and cooling design. In designing phase we consider: thermal performance, airtightness, optimized HVAC integration and reduced energy loss to ensure stable internal conditions for equipment while helping customers to manage energy use efficiently during whole lifespan of the shelters.

Responsible Partnerships

We have and operate according to ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001 and collaborate with long-term partners and subcontractors who meet our expectations for safety, compliance, and professional standards. Our activities are guided by Lagercrantz Code of Conduct. Workplace safety, technical competence, and regulatory adherence are fundamental requirements in our projects. We value transparency and reliability in all business relationships.

Our Commitment

As a Finnish manufacturer serving critical infrastructure, we understand the importance of reliability — both in our products and in our responsibilities. We continuously evaluate our environmental impact and operational efficiency. As expectations and regulations evolve, we adapt our processes accordingly.

Sustainability at Oy Esari Ab means:

  • Long-term durability
  • Responsible manufacturing
  • Improving energy efficiency in production and use of our products
  • Safe and compliant operations

We believe practical actions create lasting results.
